Skoda Fabia Scout launched in the UK

17 June 2009 - Škoda UK has launched the Fabia Scout in the UK. Available with a choice of one petrol and two diesel engines, the new Fabia Scout estate offers another choice for Fabia buyers: a ruggedly-styled car suitable for today's urban environment. Key styling features include protective body mouldings, 16 inch Scout alloy wheels, silver roof rails and distinctive Scout upholstery.

Prices start at £12,815 for the 1.4 16V petrol with 85 bhp. The available diesel engines are the 1.9 TDI PD 105 bhp and the economical 1.4 TDI PD with 80 bhp. The 1.4 TDI delivers outstanding fuel economy of 61.4 mpg (on the combined cycle) with 120 g/km of CO2. In VED Band C, this engine attracts just £35 excise duty.

The front-wheel-drive Fabia Scout is based on a Fabia 2 with the following extra equipment in addition to the Scout-specific items:

  • Cruise control
  • ESP incl ABS, MSR, ASR
  • Sunset glass
  • Front and rear electric windows
  • Leather steering wheel with small leather pack
  • Alloy pedals and front armrest

Options include a variable boot floor (£120) and 17 inch alloy wheels (£300). The new Fabia Scout is available to order from Škoda retailers across the UK.
