Completing the launch range, Privilège provides luxurious family motoring, adding dual zone climate control, electric folding mirrors, electrochrome rear view mirror and rear armrest with storage.

A range of comfort and status-enhancing options are also available to tailor specific models to individual tastes. Among them, are 17 inch alloy wheels, automatic parking brake, electric panoramic sunroof and leather upholstery. Just like the New Clio and Scénic ranges, the load-carrying version of the New Mégane range also benefits from the new Carminat TomTom satellite navigation system, at £450.

Priced £15,485 to £22,785 on-the-road, with a further trim level, Extreme, to follow in the autumn.
