Honda Access introduces new Bicycle Carrier

28 August 2009 - Even if the summer vacation has already been and gone this year, there are still many opportunities for all of us to get out and enjoy some valuable exercise on our bicycles. There's simply no better way of getting away from the stresses and strains of modern life than to spend some time away from it all, in the saddle, enjoying otherwise inaccessible yet still beautiful parts of the countryside, whilst burning away some of those unwanted calories. Honda customers can now do just that with the all-new Bicycle Carrier recently announced by Honda Access Europe.

It's an extension to Honda's expanding range of carrying and towing products and will further convince existing and potential Honda customers that there is a Honda Genuine Accessory to suit their every requirement. The new Bicycle Carrier also underlines Honda's commitment to leisure pursuits, a healthier lifestyle and, ultimately, care for the environment in which we live.

Honda's Bicycle Carrier fixes to the rear of any current Honda car that is homologated as a towing vehicle and leaves the customer with convenient access to the trunk area. Fitting is a unique and one-handed operation of closing a single lever to secure the Bicycle Carrier to the trailer hitch. It is compatible with both 7- and 13-pin trailer hitches and accommodates two bicycles in most popular frame and wheel sizes.

It's secure, too, with bicycles lockable to the carrier and the carrier, in turn, lockable to the trailer hitch. The Bicycle Carrier also features a clever corrugated tube to prevent damage to the harness from stone chips, abrasion or the elements; its tilt function also allows the owner to lift the tailgate or trunk for access to any bags or equipment stored in the rear of the car.
