Seat Tarraco production starts in Wolfsburg
18 October 2018 | For the first time in about 20 years, Volkswagen's Wolfsburg plant is producing a model of another Group brand: the SEAT Tarraco. The Spanish SUV, which was designed and developed in Barcelona, exploits the synergy effects of the MQB production platform. In Wolfsburg, the Spanish model will roll off the production line together with the Volkswagen models Tiguan and Touran. The step towards multi-brand production will boost the capacity deployment of Volkswagen's main plant. The production of the Tarraco in Wolfsburg is part of the Pact for the Future concluded by the company and the Works Council at the end of 2016.
BMW introduces X7
18 October 2018 | BMW introduces the X7. It is the largest model in the BMW X line-up combining modern powertrain and chassis technology as well as practicality and versatility. The new X7 is 5,151mm long, 2,000mm wide and 1,805mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,105mm. In terms of design, the X7 has a three-dimensional version of the bar that turns upwards at its outer edges. At the front, Adaptive LED headlights and front foglamps are standard, while BMW Laserlights are optional. This system employs a spotlight with Selective Beam delivering a non-dazzling high beam range of 600 metres.
New Skoda is called Scala
15 October 2018 | Following on from the first silhouette images, Skoda reveals the name of its new model: Scala. The name derives from the Latin word scala which means stairs and is a step forward for the Czech car manufacturer in the compact hatch segment. The Scala is the first Skoda production model in Europe to carry the Skoda name in lettering across the centre of the tailgate and replaces the Skoda logo.
Pricing announced for Jeep Wrangler
11 October 2018 | Pricing and specification for the all-new Jeep Wrangler have been announced today, ahead of the iconic SUVs official UK launch. The starting priceisf GBP44,495 OTR for the Sahara 2.2 MultiJet II 200hp 4x4 Automatic 8-Speed 2-Door version. Two four-wheel drive systems are available: Command-Trac, on the Sahara and Overland trim level, and Rock-Trac, standard on Rubicon trim. Both systems feature the new Selec-Trac full-time two-speed transfer case for a continuous monitoring and management of the torque sent to front and rear wheels.
Fiat 500X updated for 2018
9 October 2018 | The Fiat 500X, the original Italian crossover, has been updated inside and out with new looks and technology to satisfy a drivers every needs. Its available with a choice of three trim levels, Urban, City Cross and Cross Plus, three petrol engines, including two brand new more efficient turbo petrol engines, and now comes with a host of safety assistance systems as standard across the range. The new Fiat 500X is on sale now priced from GBP16,995 OTR.
