Cadillac marks new start in Europe with 2011 portfolio

9 September 2010 - Marking the new start in Europe, Cadillac presents its range of model year 2011 vehicles, including the CTS Coupe, the CTS Sport Wagon, the CTS-V Sedan, the SRX Crossover and the Escalade Hybrid. All these vehicles can be ordered through Cadillac's newly established retailer network, consisting of roughly 40 fully authorized dealers in key European markets. In addition, a pan-European network of certified repairers will look after the Cadillac vehicles in Europe.

Cadillac's new 564 hp CTS-V Coupe will celebrate its European premiere at this year's Paris Motor Show. The CTS-V Coupe went into production in summer 2010, and it will reach the European markets still this year.

The 2011 CTS Sport Wagon is immediately available, like all model year 2011 vehicles. This includes the new SRX, a midsize luxury crossover, featuring a completely new design combined with a high-technology engine.

The Cadillac Escalade Hybrid is the first over sized luxury SUV worldwide featuring the fuel-saving Two-Mode Hybrid System. This vehicle offers more than 40-percent fuel consumption reduction in city driving and dramatically reduced exhaust emissions, while offering all the advantages of a spacious luxury SUV.

Two-Mode Hybrid technology can operate the vehicle solely on battery-electric power during idling or low-speed driving situations. The permanently all-wheel-driven Escalade Hybrid also incorporates Active Fuel Management technology that enables the 6.0L V-8 engine to operate on only four cylinders in certain driving conditions to save fuel.
