Every year ‘Club Triumph Holland’ (CTH) organises the “Dutch National Triumph Day” on the first Sunday in August. In 2009 we moved to a new and very pleasant location, the Estate of Heerlijkheid Mariënwaerdt at Beesd (The Netherlands), which will be the venue this year again. Mariënwaerdt is a private estate, centrally situated in the fruit county of the Betuwe, near the river Linge, easely reachable from motorway A2, exit 14 Beesd.
Last year over 300 classic cars visited the event and the numbers are growing each year….. Not only Triumph or Standard Cars are welcome, every car build with Triumph technique finds its way on the premises. With the presence of the other Dutch clubs of our make, TR Club Holland, Triumph Spitfire Club en Stag Club Nederland, it sure will be a enjoyable day.
DNTD 2010 starts at 10.00 in the morning and lasts till 17.00 in the afternoon.
There will be a lot to do at DNTD. We arrange a lovely tour in the nearby Betuwe and there will be several traders with spares and lifestyle, but also modelcars, brochures, books etc. The Estate Mariënwaerdt is a fine venue for walks and sightseeing. You will agree, not only the men will have a fun day.
A traditional part of the day program will be the annual DNTD Concours, to elect the most special Triumph or Standard Cars of Holland. There will be several groupings so each car, not only the concourse ones, makes a chance. Signing in is possible on the website www.triumph.nl; non CTH members are welcome as well.
During this DNTD edition there will be special interest for the Triumph Stag, because of it’s 40th anniversary. Launched in 1970 the factory delivered until 1977 over 25.000 beautiful cars by the design of Michelotti. About 9.000 Stags are believed to survive all over the world, in Holland only 400 cars are still registered. Together with the Stag Club Nederland we will try to get at least 40 Stags on display in a special part of the premises. So everyone can see for themselves this is one of the most beloved models nowadays, in spite of it’s former reputation for trouble. We’ll specially welcome our friends abroad, to bring their Stag to our meeting and make it an international gathering. For staying overnight there is a campsite nearby, also some hotels and B&B’s as well. We gladly provide further information if necessary.
The entrance fee for members of any Triumph club is only € 5,00 per car, unregarded the amount of passengers. Non members pay € 7,50. All visiting classic cars will receive an information set at the entrance with a nice rally shield, programmebook and more.
